Idyllic transform hurt into passion with latest single New Moral Saviour

Twisting and turning through different territories, it is hard to categorise Idyllic’s new single, New Moral Saviour.

It is rock infused with indie and even a hint of punk, something not many bands can pull off so flawlessly. Out June 6 , it is the Liverpool-based group’s second release since their 2024 EP, Five X Five.

Beginning like something that slipped off one of your parent’s old classic rock vinyl’s, drums thump while a frenzy of rapid guitar takes the spotlight.

Intertwining that indie-pop feel into the song, refreshing guitar riffs are scattered across the verses leaving Idyllic planting themselves into a unique musical niche.

Choruses are immediately ear-catching with self-assured bass and carefree guitar work.

Meanwhile, Niall Doolan’s vocals dominate their way through lyrics, capturing the sting of time passing, things changing and feeling lost within that.

‘I’m just wasting away’, he belts, turning hurt into passion as he shares personal feelings.

Of course, there are some similarities to their past music. However, New Moral Saviour sounds more refined, only showcasing their very best guitar riffs and top-of-the-range vocals, yet they don’t fall into the trap of developing it so much that it loses its personality.

Fuelled by the group’s persistent energy, New Moral Saviour sees Idyllic taking a step forward in creativity and unpredictability.
