Intoxicating and opening with an instant explosion of guitar, Adam Thomas Hughes’ Left Behind (Kid) is an electrifying new release.
The 18-year-old from Newton-Le-Willows has already been quickly tackling his way through the industry, with two soaring releases and a multitude of live performances under his belt.
His newest release comes ahead of an eight-track EP that will be out at the end of the year.
Hughes has been teasing the extent of his talent, making listeners itch with excitement for what’s still to come.

Home to festival-ready guitar and feel-good bass, Left Behind (Kid) could have slipped out of any summertime playlist.
Despite the upbeat feel of the music, Hughes is vulnerable in a song that’s lyrics grapple with the heartache which comes from seeing friends make mistakes while wanting the best for them.
‘Avoid a relapse he’ll drown, pass the weight back to me’.
Hughes sings full of hurt, remembering a strenuous situation.
Although the lyrics focus on a dark topic, the song still feels very uplifting, similar to indie-classics like a Kooks or Wombats tune.
Blending confident vocals and polished guitar, it is obvious that after helping out backstage at their shows, The K’s have had a huge influence on Hughes music.
The final verse of the single is a guitar solo. Rapid and riff heavy, it is easy to picture the intense strumming as a mosh pit starter at gigs.
There is no doubt about it, Adam Thomas Hughes is an artist to keep an eye on.
Already blooming into a live star, things can only going to skyrocket as his portfolio of music grows.
