Picks of the week
American Nights & English Mornings – Red Rum Club
Red Rum Club have a had a good week. A headliner at Aintree, a new single and an album announcement has firmly put the band back on the public’s radar for their new era.
American Nights & English Mornings remains true to the Red Rum Club sound – the chorus is memorable as always – but the marketing around it suggests we are in for more American influences as the group takes inspiration from their tours and travels.

Nights Like These – Dovegate
Dovegate’s consistently quality releases are helping them grow into one of Liverpool’s best rising groups.
This latest single, Nights Like These, has a distinct swing influence – if you like The Sway, you’ll love the new track.
What always stands out about Dovegate’s work is how the guitar tones complement frontman Jon Cregeen’s range to create a definite Scouse sound.
