Picks of the week

Ready To Go – The Lags

The Lags combine their folk influences with classic rock n roll, to create a sound that feels nostalgic while remaining authentic.

With words that roll off the tongue and flow into each other, Ready To Go is one of their best releases yet.

Rule the World (album) – RATS

RATS’ long-awaited album is here and it takes the band’s music in a new direction while retaining its raw indie style that popularised the group.

Among the standout songs are 10 Missed Calls, Section 60 and Turn It Around, with the latter’s guitar tones harking back to their early days.

Natural Light – John Witherspoon

John Witherspoon is a supremely talented songwriter who already has two albums to his name.

Natural Light is John’s first release since 2023 and continues in the same vein as his previous work, with the focus on lyricism over noisy guitars.
