With Christmas the time of giving, Mersey Music is appealing this year or donations to a special cause, The Altenburg Foundation.
The above video is of a group of first-year secondary students at children at the Kyangwali Refugee Settlement in Uganda.
They have written a song to reassure the children in the last year of primary schools who are about to take their national exams.
Almost the full entirety of these pupils at the Planning for Tomorrow Youth school (P4T) are refugees that have had to flee South Sudan, DR Congo, Burundi, Rwanda and Somalia due to war fleeing war, violence and hunger.
Established in 2007, P4T works to provide quality education, health, livelihood and community service opportunities.
The Altenburg Foundation works to support P4T and refugees in Uganda, as well as those who have had to leave their homes in Syria and Lebanon.

There is currently a new secondary school being built and it’s nearly ready! The first classroom block is complete and in use.
By Christmas, the second and third blocks, along with a library, science lab, and computer lab, will be built.
We would also love for the pupils to have access to musical instruments in classrooms.
However, resources and the contents of these labs require significant donors and donations.
The school year starts in February, and your donations will go directly toward filling these classrooms with the equipment needed as well as the most important resource, teachers.
Every pound donated (plus Gift Aid) goes straight to Uganda as this is a relatively small organisation with minimal admin costs.
Please think about donating to these musically talented children this Christmas time!
If you can, please donate to The Altenburg Foundation here.
