Ahead of their O2 Academy headliner, Casino have leaned into their indie pop side with Heaven while touching on some funk and soul for Let Me Down.

Leave The Light On – Caitlyn Eve
This is another seriously good release from Caitlyn Eve who has masterfully combined her songwriting skills while making use of her powerful voice.

Raining (It Don’t Stop) – The Kowloons
The Kowloons’ popularity is growing quickly and it is easy to see why given the versatility of songwriting they have demonstrated with this song that suits its lyrics perfectly.

Annie – Sam Millne & the Virants
OK, so there may be some bias here, but this is a track with a memorable chorus that will get your head nodding and feet tapping.
With inspiration from Deacon Blue, The La’s and The Snuts, we would definitely recommend it! 😉

The Cheap Thrills rarely miss and they have produced some of their best work again here with a love letter to Liverpool.

Sneak Attack – Euan Blackman
Sneak Attack is among Euan Blackman’s best work as an alternative indie folk artist and will almost certainly hook you into listening to the rest of his released music.

Liar – Korova
In a genre closest to psychedelic rock, Korova are among the best on the Merseyside scene and Liar is an excellent addition to their repertoire.

Eve & Frank- Brad Kella
This is a beautifully composed piece of music with an emotional backstory for Brad Kella, whose life changed when he won Channel 4’s The Piano.

Hideaway – Hannah Weedall
Hannah Weedall knows how to write a song and this is just another brilliant example of that. This indie pop-rock artist has a repertoire of songs now that should really be taken note of.

For Love – BITE
BITE are quickly making a name for themselves in Liverpool with their psych-rock and funk sound. For Love is an excellent second single from the four-piece band.

If you’re into Stanleys, then you’ll be into this EP. She’s Done It Again is arguably the highlight but all four songs stand up on their discography.

Shop Around – 2024 Version – The Liver Birds ft. Molly-Grace Cutler & Lisa Wright
With the addition of Molly-Grace Cutler and Lisa Wright, the 1960s group have re-recorded their previous hit, Shop Around, which was originally written by The Miracles ft. Smokey Robinson.
This comes as their story is told in the re-run of the brilliant musical, Girls Don’t Play Guitars, which is showing now at Liverpool’s Royal Court!
