New Music Friday – The Mysterines, Red Rum Club, Crawlers & more

It has been a bumper week for new music from Merseyside! Here’s a list of some of the best new releases from Liverpool and beyond this week.

Stray – The Mysterines

Stray is the first single from The Mysterines’ upcoming second album, Afraid of Tomorrows, set for release on June 7. If you like bass, there’s plenty of it!

Western Approaches album – Red Rum Club

Red Rum Club evolve with each album, and this is no different. There’s some great new tracks on Western Approaches, including Afternoon and Hole In My Home.

The Mess We Seem To Make album – Crawlers

Flying high in the album charts, Crawlers are once again making waves, this time with their new album, The Mess We Seem To Make.

Love Is The Call album – Cast

This is Cast and John Power back to his best. For all classic Cast fans, this is a must-listen album.

Revalation – East Exchange

The fourth and final instalment to East Exchange’s first era, and this really is excellent. These lads known how to write indie rock.

You Found Me – Paul O’Keefe

Another beautiful song by Paul O’Keefe, the singer-songwriter’s more prevalent use of the violin adds an extra layer to this release.

Calypso Blue – The Cheap Thrills

The fourth and final single from their EP, Mind Metro, Calypso Blue is another worthy addition to The Cheap Thrills’ impressive collection of singles.

A big couple of months lie ahead for the boys from Walton Vale!

Still Running – The Garnetts

Still Running by The Garnetts is the band’s sixth release and arguably their best yet. Something a bit different, but it works!

Too Fast – Candle Wasters

A rock band in every sense of the word, Candle Wasters have brought their music from Birmingham to Liverpool is hopefully here to stay.

Shining Armour – Tobin Steele ft. Nicole Dragos

Tobin Steele is the drummer in The Baltic, but here he showcases his individual talents, teaming up with Nicole Dragos to release this great indie record.

Stuck On You – Oh Dear

Musical duo Katie King and George Parnell are back with their fifth single and it’s more of the same great synthesiser-infused guitar pop from the pair.
