Heart to Break by Ria Hanley – Single Review

Ria Hanley has returned to break hearts with her new single, ‘Heart To Break’. The song was released on November 17 and has captured scores of hearts with over 14,000 streams in less than a month.

In typical Ria Hanley fashion, she’s delivered an anthem that captures her country-pop roots while tapping into her vulnerable, emotional side.

The newly released single is centered around the concept of falling in love and giving away your heart, despite the risk of it being broken. Hanley has poured her heart into the creation of a powerful country-pop ballad that inspires and moves the soul.

The 22-year-old said: “‘Heart To Break’ is the most vulnerable song I have released to date. I started writing it as a love song and by the time I finished it, it resonated more as a break-up song.

“It’s been one of the tracks people have loved during my live gigs and I feel so grateful to be able to share this more emotional side of my songwriting.”

Ria is known for her sassy stage presence and singing about her ex-lovers who have broken her heart, all set to a rock n roll melody. Her music has been influenced by artists like Blondie, Stevie Nicks, Emeli Sandé, and Maren Morris, who have all helped Ria create a unique and distinctive sound.

Hanley has had her earlier music tracks, ‘Bite Back’ and ‘Hell for Leather’, played on various radio stations such as BBC Radio Merseyside, BBC Radio Solent, Amazing Radio, Express FM, Voice FM, CMP, and Melodic Distraction.

She has also been featured in publications like The Rodeo, CLOUT, Boot Music, and ‘Where are the Girlbands?’. She even claimed the top spot on The South Coast Music Charts.

Not only has she had radio plays and features in magazines, but she’s performed in a variety of iconic UK venues including Mountford Hall in Liverpool, The Rialto in Brighton, 1865 in Southampton, and Victorious Festival in Portsmouth.

Ria’s third single, “Heart To Break”, is out now leading up to her debut EP which is eagerly anticipated by fans.
