With her new single, Dreaming, proving a success, we decided to learn more about Fiona Lennon.
Dreaming is Fiona’s second release this year as she continues to be noticed by rising artists on Merseyside.
She recently supported Megan Wynn and is set for a big 2024. We chatted to Fiona about her musical journey.

When and how did you start playing music?
I have always sung since I was little and I went to music university about four years ago because I loved singing.
That’s where I picked up and learned the guitar and started writing songs.
What genre of music would you say you fit to most?
I would say folk, maybe pop, but with the band it makes it a bit rocky too, so mainly those three genres.
You’ve uploaded lots of covers online, do you think this has helped grow your presence, online at least?
I think that uploading covers has helped my online presence because I like doing songs everyone knows, but I put my own take on them and I think people like that.
How do you go about your writing process?
My writing process is different every time.
Sometimes I will think of a melody and I’ll have to then think of lyrics and a story that fits, but other times I will have words that I want to make into a song!
What’s next for Fiona in 2024?
For 2024, we definitely have some exciting stuff planned.
The band and I are back in the studio before Christmas to make new music and we have some gigs that will be announced quite soon!
