Italy is Sam Millne’s fourth single and is written to be your soundtrack to the summer.
Produced by Jay Gaugler, Italy is designed to be a summer anthem that hooks you in immediately with its lead guitar that compliments the rhythm.
The song and its lyrics should whisk you away to a sunny beach abroad where the sun shines down and the sea glistens.
With a catchy chorus and brilliant solo, written and performed by Jess Parry, it is a musically well-written song that should go straight onto your summer playlists.
The track was recorded at Briar Street Studios, Liverpool.
Millne said: “With the summer in mind, Italy sets the tone immediately with the crashing of the waves taking you to a serene beach abroad.
“I want Italy to be a moment in time for you to take a break and get away, even if it’s just in your head, from the rainy British shoreline that drags us down for most of the year.
“The images conjured up by the track will hopefully make your day a more positive one!”
A feel-good song at heart, Italy is about letting go of the past and finding yourself.
With an instrumental beginning that bleeds seamlessly into the verse and catchy chorus, Sam hopes the song encourages you to seize the day.
The 22-year-old singer-songwriter has recently formed a live backing band and will be playing original sets around Merseyside come Autumn but, in the meantime, he has three other singles, including the very popular Living in Limbo, to enjoy across all streaming platforms.
His songs take a variety of forms, from happy-go-lucky ditties to more serious tracks that take a step back to comment on society and the world around us.
His first three singles, Living in Limbo, Maybe and Don’t Be Lonely are quick songs with hooks from the beginning to get you tapping along and nodding to the beat.
With more complex compositions in the pipeline, this opening trilogy of tracks is designed to draw you in and leave you wanting more by the end.
Italy compliments the first three songs well and is a taster of the more musically adept songs to come from Sam.
The 22-year-old has ambitions of hearing a crowd sing back his tunes and producing tracks he’s proud to release and wants others to feel.
