Sick and Tired by Idyllic – Single Review

Sick and Tired art - Idyllic

Liverpool band, Idyllic have recently released their second single. Sam Millne listened to the track, Sick and Tired.

In 2022, the band released their debut single, Narcissist, which is a short but snappy rock n roll tune with a prominent bass line.

Sick and Tired follows a similar pattern with the band taking influence from the likes of The Jam and The Velvet Underground.

The song opens with the rhythm guitar front and centre before the lead takes precedence with a 1960s guitar tone.

The tune then follows the traditional formula of a song with the verse followed by a catchy chorus that precedes a return to the lead guitar’s intro.

Idyllic do a good job of blending the lead guitarist’s excellent parts with the melody to create a well-written song that strays almost into an experimental area towards the end of the 3 mins 16 secs.

In recent months, the band have been getting heard throughout Merseyside and Manchester.

Their next gig is March 17, supporting The Build at 33 Oldham Street in Manchester.
